The Ancient One stamp comes from the second page of the Dr. Strange story in Strange Tales #115. The edges of the stamp, including his hat and shirt, were redrawn, although the other shadows and details, particularly on and around his face, are a clear match. Although Dr. Strange first appeared in Strange Tales #110, issue #115 contains his first origin story. The scan above is actually from a reprinting of this tale in Stan Lee's book, Origins of Marvel Comics, published in 1974. |
