Comments: The Hulk promotional/teaser stamp, which appeared both unnumbered and numbered (#5) on the Bullpen Bulletins and Bonus Pages, originated with a color insert in the center of Fantastic Four #128 called "Friends or Foes." We believe this color insert is the one Roy Thomas was referring to during an interview with Stan Lee in Comic Book Artist Collection Volume 1, p.115, when he said: ROY: Do you remember when we had problems during the Wage and Price Freeze during the Nixon administration, over the fact that we droppped down in size after one month of those giant-size 25-cent comic books? We had to put a slick, color, four-page insert in one issue of Fantastic Four; supposedly this was to make up for the fact that the Wage and Price Control Board had decided it was right on the cusp of whether we had, in a certain way, actually raised prices by charging 20-cents for 32 pages.[Excerpt is copyright 2000 Jon B.
